Help! Calling all savvy Outlook users

Everytime I get emails from one of my clients, it appears as an attachment in notepad. It's very, very annoying, as it prevents me from being able to scroll through emails quickly and efficiently. Is this something on our end, or something to do with their firewall? I'm assuming on their end because all other email comes through fine. That said, is there anything I can do on my end to get it to come through normally (I don't want to bug them about it)? Email suggestions at smokeandashes_blog [at] hotmail [dot] com.
