The ultimate form of laziness

I work on the second floor of a fairly old building in SF's financial district. Every day it amazes me to see healthy individuals (often times construction workers from the neighboring contracting office) waiting in front of the elevator to bring them one flight down when a) the elevator is old, scary, and most of all, slow. I could walk up and down the stairs four times before it actually makes it to the ground floor. B) how lazy can you get? It's 15 steps. Exceptions are obviously made for the weak, infirm, or people carrying large packages.
